We’ve made a conscious effort to move away from art that would make a subset of players feel uncomfortable to play it.

Honestly, this is one of the things that made me willing to get into Magic. Like, I definitely saw some of that older… pin-up? art? And was unimpressed, but then I looked at modern art and cards and the significantly better treatment of female characters by the franchise and found myself 10000x more comfortable with it. Definitely appreciate this decision.
