I’m a very casual player who doesn’t like to spend too much money on Magic. I have been playing since around Onslaught block and I still don’t own a planeswalker. I understand that planeswalkers have to be mythic rare to show that they’re particularly special and powerful - the flavor would be gone if they were easy to obtain. But is it ever a concern that there’s an entire card type out there that players like me rarely get to use?

Part of helping keep planeswalkers special is making them something players don’t see all that often. You’ve been especially unlucky not to get one seeing how long you’ve been playing (although note that planesswalkers didn’t show up until Lorwyn).

We do make a Duel deck every year with two planeswalkers cards in it if you’d like to be able to get a few.
