Let’s say there’s a band that loves artificial sounds so much they decide to hire you to be their official synthesizer. Your sole task it is to synthesize sounds for your band’s songs. Imagine this task got so great (the band really, really likes artificial sounds) that you had to hire a second synthesizer, a guy named Bob.
So there would be no hard feelings, you two decide that you and Bob are each of equal importance to the band. Also you start referring to yourselves as synths as it sounds cooler and hey, why would you be in a band if you didn’t care about sounding cool.
So when someone asks you who Bob is, you say that he is “my co-synth”.
And that is how you say it.
